This is a 16 hectare greenfield site lying to the East of Church Road in East Wittering. The developers, Barratt’s, are seeking to build up to 325 houses on this field and there are five applications and one appeal all centered on this one potential site which is confusing to say the least.

To make it easier to understand the following is a summary of the various planning applications and the current state of play with those applications as at end June 2024.

Anyone wishing to make comments on these latest applications are almost too late but might just get their comments accepted if submitted right away. These numbers are 24/01004/OUTEIA, 24/01044/FULEIA and 24/01005/FULEIA. You can ask CDC to apply your comments to all three of these applications to save you writing three separate emails/letters

Members of the public are welcome to attend and must be encouraged to do so. This is important as lack of attendance sends a message to the Inspector that there is little local concern.
